The drawing wall on the homepage feeds Sketchpad, a collection on Midriff. Some drawings sent from the wall are printed on Midriff crop tops and hoodies and sold. See the Sketchpad collection. Here’s what you agree to when you hit send.
Your drawing
You confirm the drawing is your own original work, made on the wall, and doesn’t copy someone else’s art, characters, logos or trademarks.
How it may be used
By sending, you give The Neighborhood Artist and Midriff a worldwide, royalty-free, permanent right to use, reproduce, edit and remix your drawing, and to sell it on crop tops and hoodies and show it in promotion. Not every drawing is used. Some are featured as drawn; some are remixed into new, playful artwork.
Signed drawings: credit or commission
If you sign your drawing with a name, featured work is credited to that name. If you choose commission and leave an email and a PayPal or Venmo handle, you earn $2 for every crop top or hoodie sold with your drawing on it. Commission is paid monthly once you’ve earned $10. Remixes of your drawing are credited to you but don’t earn commission. I never ask for bank or card numbers.
Anonymous drawings
If you send without a name, the drawing is used without credit, and you waive any claim to credit or payment for it.
Changing your mind
Want your drawing left out? Get in touch before it’s listed and it won’t be used. Products already made or sold can’t be recalled.
